Breast Revision - Case #40

This patient came to us after having multiple surgeries in the past. When she came in to see Dr. Unger, the patient had 600 cc high profile Mentor implants in. She had a beautiful shape on the left side, however she had severe capsular contracture on the right hand side pushing the implant up on her chest wall. She needed a complete capsulectomy to get rid of the scar tissue. However, to support her breast implant and ensure a long lasting result, Dr. Unger used a dissolving mesh called Galaflex to reestablish the inframammary fold (bottom of the breast) and to prevent future bottoming out (drooping of the implant). Dr. Unger also did a small revision on the left hand and some liposuction from the bilateral hips to inject fat into the lower portion of the breasts to create symmetry and harmony between the breasts and create a more beautiful result. The patient loves her symmetrical results and could not be happier!
