Immediate Breast Reconstruction – Skin Sparing Gallery Patient 229008
This 65‑year‑old female with a history of left-sided breast cancer who decided to undergo bilateral (both sides) mastectomy and came to Dr. Unger and the Nashville Plastic Surgery Institute team to discuss reconstructive options. With the large size of her breasts, she was an excellent candidate for Dr. Unger's reduction-reconstruction technique where the excess skin is removed at the time of mastectomy to allow for more youthful and perky breast reconstruction. She now has no need to wear a bra and feels more comfortable in clothes than she has for a long time.
